History of the Present A nation that fails to read and record its truths, will be unable, whether as individuals or society, to enjoy freedom and live with dignity I have called this book History of the Present because they are readings of the present , of the pressing passing Now-s that make history, of tomorrow’s’ yesterdays, and yesterdays of tomorrow.
