Significant changes were incorporated regarding planning for deployments supporting other than USAF units, terrorist threats and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high yield explosives (CBRNE) events. The update also incorporates Air Force Incident Management System (AFIMS) guidance for planners as related to Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-5 ) mandating the use of the National Response Plan and National Incident Management System as planning source documents.
