Body Wisdom with Cards: How to Use Your Body To Understand Your Life

Suzy Prudden

Body Wisdom uses divination cards - available free at www.suzypruddensbodywisdom.com to understand the language of your body. Each part of the body is connected to a life issue - e.g. Your Shoulders represent how you carry your burdens. Body Wisdom explains this relationships and provides affirmations to change your mind about the issue. Sample SHOULDERS Your shoulders represent the way you carry responsibility. They also represent how you support yourself and those around you. When there is pain in the shoulders you may be feeling burdened or overwhelmed by your life. Your shoulders also represent your willingness to know or not to know and the way you deal with authority or fear. An elevated right shoulder may mean you deal overtly, an elevated left shoulder may mean you deal covertly. The term "to shrug off" refers to a refusal to handle or acknowledge responsibility and is indicated by a shrugging of the shoulders. When you draw the Shoulder Card or Slip you are being asked to look at how you carry responsibility. Do you allow your responsibilities to weigh you down? Do you carry them lightly and with humor? How do you support yourself emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and physically? How do you support others? Do you allow others to weigh you down with burdens you should not be carrying? How do you deal with authority figures? Do you allow them to "get to you?" Do the words "I don't know" enter your vocabulary often? Is it true that you don't know, or is that an escape clause from responsibility for you? Are you aware that you don't trust your answers even when you do know? Are you aware of a tendency toward shrugging your shoulders when you are asked about areas in which you have responsibility? Have you willingly taken on that responsibility? Are you being honest with yourself and others about the responsibilities you have "shouldered"? If you are female, do you carry your purse on your right (overt) or left (covert) shoulder? To work with shoulder issues ask your Higher Self what you need to know about how you are relating to the responsibilities you are carrying. Are you allowing your responsibilities to weigh you down? Are you carrying them joyously and easily? Are you willing to allow yourself to know the answers to the problems that are confronting you? Do you find yourself constantly saying, "I don't know" or asking "why?" when challenged by problems of your life? Do you constantly find yourself shrugging your shoulders when confronted by a mistake or a decision? Write your questions with your dominant hand. Write your answers with your dominant hand. When you have an answer, ask your Higher Self what you need to do to shift the way you carry your burdens and if you carry them heavily how do your lighten the load? Do not judge the answers. Do not get in your own way with doubts about your ability to do whatever comes to your mind. Simply write down what comes to you. The final question of every session should be, “Is there anything else I need to know?”
